High-Security Locks
For areas of your commercial space that contain valuables, expensive equipment, or sensitive materials, you might consider high-security locks that are more resistant to compromise.
High security cylinders and key control products are tiered based on the level of security they provide (see image to the left).
- High Security: UL437 Drill & Pick-Resistant Systems offer protection against physical attacks. Includes Mul-T-Lock Interactive+, Mul-T-Lock MT5+, ASSA Twin Maximum, and ASSA Maximum+.
- Security: Protection against picking. Includes Mul-T-Lock Integrator, Mul-T-Lock Garrison, Mul-T-Lock Junior, and ASSA 600 Series.
- Patented Keyway: Keys are protected against unauthorized duplication. Includes MX Alpha, Mul-T-Lock Interactive+, Mul-T-Lock MT5+, ASSA Maximum+ Restricted and Schlage Primus.
- Open Conventional: Older systems whose patents have run out and are not protected.

Master Key Systems
A method of access control in which keys are distributed based on the lock(s) they should open, so all personnel only have access to the spaces they are authorized to enter.
Designing and implementing a master key system requires diligent planning and careful organization. The locks and keys have to be configured in advance to ensure that A) multiple keys will fit the locks; B) there are an adequate yet strict number of keys for the people who will access each lock or each level of locks; and C) the keys are stamped to identify what locks they open.

Lockbox & Knox Box Services
When it’s necessary to have keys on site for personnel, a high quality lockbox is the best option. Unlockit installs, maintains, and changes codes for shackle and wall-mounted lockboxes.
We also install Knox Boxes that firefighters and paramedics use in the event of an emergency. Knox Boxes are sturdy and tamper-resistant boxes made of metal that hold keys or access cards for emergency responders and designed to withstand weather conditions and potential vandalism. They come in various sizes and styles to fit the number of keys or access cards they need to hold. Emergency responders are given the master key or code to access the Knox Box in the event that no one is around to provide them access to a property or space during an emergency.

We specialize in providing new hardware for furniture and equipment, and we like a challenge. We're often called after numerous attempts are made with other companies. Our technicians are trained to work on locking mechanisms for hutches, chests, desks, filing cabinets, mailboxes, cash registers, lockers, elevators, trash compactors, and much more. Though we can't solve all problems, we're ready to do what we can to assist with any unique project.

Lock Maintenance & Repair
As a mechanism with moving parts, a lock sustains wear and tear over time, which means it will inevitably need service or repair. Whether the lock begins to stick or the latch doesn't retract all the way, let us assess your door hardware to ensure your locks continue to operate as they should.
We'll come prepared with parts and the right tools to get to the root of the problem. Our technician will try to service the lock first, to make sure the problem isn't build-up within the lock. If the problem isn't resolved by maintenance (or a door adjustment), the technician will attempt to repair the hardware. In the event that repair isn't possible, the technician will discuss replacement options with you and put you in contact with a team member in the office so we can get parts ordered if necessary.

Rekeys
Rekeying is a cost effective way of getting new keys as long as the lock is functioning properly. If your company has many employees or high turnover, periodically rekeying locks means you don’t have to go the more time-consuming and expensive route of changing the locks.
Rekeying means changing the pin combination within the lock so that old keys will no longer operate it. Once the pinning is changed, a new key can be generated.
