Your Electronic Experts

As a state-licensed low voltage company, we can do so much more than change locks. We are well-equipped to manage and install access control systems, CCTV systems, vehicle gate operators, and buzzer and intercom systems.

What We Offer

Access Control Systems

For high-traffic commercial buildings of any kind, being able to monitor and control access is a vital aspect of security.

Access control allows administrators to regulate when and through which doors users can access an area or building.  Badges, codes, proximity cards, or biometric readers are programmed with user authentication and authorization credentials, which can be tracked to monitor and record when users enter and exit, minimizing the risk of unauthorized access.

Access control can also refer to any other security component that regulates or restricts access to a space. Door closers, mag locks, keypads, and electric strikes are all considered elements of a strong access control system.

Surveillance Cameras

Cameras are one of the most commonly requested features for a security system, and for good reason. They allow users to easily monitor the activity in public spaces, deter criminals, and record incidents so that proper action can be taken. But cameras aren't a one-size-fits-all security solution.

Before cameras are installed, you should:

  • Define the purpose of surveillance, whether it's for security, employee productivity, customer safety, or a combination of factors.
  • Consider the features and recording capabilities that will best serve your business.
  • Determine camera placement to cover critical points of entry, high-traffic areas, parking lots, and areas with valuable assets.
  • Assign who will be in charge of the maintenance and upkeep.
  • Have a plan for integrating the cameras with other security measures. Cameras are best suited to work in tandem with other components.

When you're ready to have your cameras installed, turn to the pros at Unlockit. We use only high-quality, high-resolution equipment. Our hard-wired systems at commercial locations never have ongoing fees. Once you pay for the system, it's all yours.

Vehicle Gate Operators

The ability to control access to your property is an integral aspect of security. Gates are a common access control feature in neighborhoods, complexes, private buildings, and businesses, ensuring that only personnel or patrons with the right authorization can enter an area.

A vehicle gate operator is the physical device that automates the movement of the gate. In high-traffic areas, having an automatic gate operator eliminates the need for a human operator who has to open the gate, check credentialing, and troubleshoot issues with the system. Through PIN-pads, scanners, or sensors, an administrator can limit access and increase security, with the added benefit of convenience.

Intercom & Buzzer Systems

Intercoms and buzzers are access control systems in which a host within a building can authorize entry based on the request of someone from the outside.

Components of an intercom or buzzer system typically include:

  • An intercom unit that is installed near the entrance. Through the speaker and microphone, visitors can use the intercom to communicate with occupants inside the building.
  • An indoor station that connects to the intercom so occupants can communicate with visitors.
  • A doorbell or buzzer that visitors can activate to signal their presence. This alerts the occupants that someone is at the door.
  • In more advanced systems, an access control panel that allows occupants to remotely unlock the door.

Optimized Security

Many people focus on the electronic aspects, but all facets should be considered and the needs of the business, facility, employees, customers, and/or administer will determine what measures will work best.

The best security system is one that incorporates various components to form an integrated, multi-layered network. The more layers you have, the harder it is to break through them. Security system integration increases control, simplifies monitoring and reporting, and strengthens safeguards.
